Portable Fish Finders

Portable of hand held fish finders work pretty much the same way as a normal fish finder except that they are smaller and more compact - hence being called portable or handheld - some even work as a wrist watch. Normal fish fionders found in a charter boat are mounted and ran form a 12volt power supply, a portable fish finder will normally hold a charge of take batteries.

A typical use of these type of devices is carp fishing , beach fishing and kayak fishing. You could also use one for inshore boat fishing from a small boat so you can take it back hoem with you at the end of the day.

These fish finders will probably not have all the features of their big brother used in a charter boat, but should do the job for light inshore or beach/river bank work.
